Origin Highlights: From Iconic to Exploratory

Enjoy the richness of Indonesian single origin coffee at our booth, starting with well-known origins such as Mandheling (Sumatra) for its strong and smooth taste with a long-lasting aftertaste or Toraja (Sulawesi) with its unique characteristic that combine heritage, high altitude quality, and special flavor class as two iconic origins that have long represented Indonesian coffee in Japan.

Beyond these classic origins, we also present coffee selections from other regions of Indonesia, each defined by its distinctive character.

  • Aceh Gayo reveals a rich layer of dark chocolate and toasted nuts, lifted by gentle fruit and a subtle hint of spice-reflecting the character of Sumatera’s highlands.

  • Java Arabica offers a refined balance, from comforting cocoa and nutty depth to delicate floral and herbal nuances, rooted in one of the world’s most historic coffee origins.

  • Flores Robusta from Bajawa presents a surprisingly refined cup, with natural sweetness, cacao richness, and a smooth, full bodied finish.

Responsible Sourcing and Long-Term Partnership

KAPPI’s focus goes beyond taste. We work to support responsible sourcing and long-term partnerships that strengthen coffee communities across Indonesia—while helping buyers connect with clear origin stories and consistent quality.
